Systems Technician

Merit Controls is seeking a Systems Technician in Bethlehem, PA, for a hands-on role in IT and clean energy. This entry-level position involves configuring network devices, preparing equipment for deployment, and supporting inventory management. We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Systems Technician who’s ready to learn, build, and grow in a technical environment where operations, IT, and clean energy intersect.

What You’ll Do:
• Configure devices like switches, servers, and firewalls using USB/SD templates and SOPs.
• Prep, pack, and stage network equipment for deployment to project sites.
• Support physical inventory movement and device organization in the facility.
• Assist the Network Engineering and Material Handling teams with batch configuration and labeling.
• Ensure accurate tracking of configuration steps, and flag any technical inconsistencies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area—and be ready to jump in wherever needed.

What You Bring:
• High school diploma or GED (technical coursework in IT or networking = a big plus!).
• 1–2 years of experience in tech support, operations, logistics, or factory settings preferred.
• Basic understanding of network devices, USB/SD media, and configuration workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and drive a pickup truck (valid license required).
• Eagerness to learn, follow SOPs, and contribute to a fast-moving operations team.
