Job Description

Ulteig Engineers is seeking a Systems Integrator III in Charlotte, NC, responsible for programming and commissioning control systems in the Renewable Energy sector. About the position

The Systems Integrator III is responsible for programming and commissioning control systems that integrate multiple sub-systems to fulfill the operational and regulatory requirements of clients in the Renewable Energy sector. This role involves developing and implementing logic for project tasks, coordinating with clients and contractors, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant task completion. The position includes mentoring from experienced staff and reports to a Technical Manager or Engineering Supervisor.

Responsibilities
• Engage with clients in the Renewable Energy industry
,
• Develop and test PLC/HMI/SCADA programs
,
• Create technical documentation including control logic, test procedures, and user manuals
,
• Program PLCs using platforms such as Allen Bradley, Schneider, and SEL RTAC
,
• Program HMI/SCADA systems using platforms like Ignition, Wonderware, and Kepware/Topserver
,
• Conduct on-site commissioning and start-up of systems
,
• Maintain personal and project quality ownership
,
• Foster positive client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness
,
• Complete assigned tasks within the allotted time

Requirements
• Two year technical degree
,
• 4-7 years of experience in Industrial Control Systems, Integration of Robotics Systems, or related programming experience
,
• Exposure to the Renewable Energy industry, specifically Wind, PV, and BESS
,
• Proficiency in communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus) and internet network architectures
,
• Ability to effectively use discipline-specific software and assist others in its use
,
• Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines through prioritization
,
• Excellent verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
,
• Ability to read and create engineering design drawings, including communication diagrams and logic diagrams
,
• Proven experience with Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SQL, Access)
,
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
,
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards
,
• Permanent authorization to work in the US
