Job Description

CYNET SYSTEMS is seeking a System Technician in Ashburn, VA. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining data center infrastructure, monitoring performance, managing physical systems, ensuring security, and collaborating with IT staff. Essential skills include strong communication, problem-solving, and knowledge of operating systems and networking. Candidates should have 2-4 years of technical experience and the ability to lift 50 pounds. This is a full-time position.
Job Description:
• Installation and Maintenance - Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, network equipment, and other data center infrastructure.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the performance of data center systems, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure optimal operation.
• Physical Infrastructure: Manage the physical infrastructure of the data center, including power, cooling, and cabling.
• Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaboration: Work with other IT staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Staying Up-to-Date: Keep abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in data centre operations.
Core Responsibilities:
• Incident management and resolution within SLAs.
• Technical support for CSG desktops, applications, and hardware.
• Hardware and software configuration and deployment.
• User communication and documentation.
• Ticketing system management.
Essential Skills:
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of operating systems, Active Directory, and networking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.
• Experience with Service Desk incident management tools.
• Experience with Active Directory, O365, Intune, OKTA, G Suite, Jamf, and CEM.
Qualifications:
• 2 4 years of help desk or technical experience.
• 2+ years of desk-side support experience.
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
• Due to the nature of the job the candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance.
