APA Group is seeking a Systems Controller for their Integrated Operations Centre in Brisbane, QLD. This permanent full-time role involves managing asset access, optimizing gas grid assets, and ensuring process safety. Candidates should have technical qualifications and experience in gas processing and control room operations. We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Systems Controller to join our Integrated Operations Centre team in Brisbane, QLD on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Reporting to the Team Lead - Control Room, you will collaborate with a dynamic and enthusiastic team of control room professionals within a growing energy division. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop personally within the operating control room and engage in projects, maintenance, and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage safe access to assets under the span of control.
• Optimise gas grid assets to maximise resilience and optimise commercial opportunities.
• Maintain pipeline inventory within the commercial and technical operating envelopes.
• Monitor and maintain emerging electrical assets, traditional, solar and wind
• Ensure compression assets are efficiently utilised to maintain a secure service for APA customers.
• Manage plant integrity and process safety through monitoring and action on SCADA alarms.
About You
• Tertiary qualifications or trade certification in a technical discipline.
• Proven experience in the gas and hydrocarbons processing industry.
• Practical experience in field process operations and control room environments
• Strong technical background in process plant control and operations.
• Solid understanding of gas transmission pipeline systems and SCADA systems.
• Ability to work a rotating 12 hour shift roster.
