About the Role: The Wood Sourcing Manager at Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC is responsible for ensuring the availability of quality wood materials while maintaining cost targets and adhering to sustainability standards.

Main Responsibilities:
• Sourcing Strategy Development: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
• Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance, assessing their adherence to quality, delivery, and sustainability standards.
• Supply Planning and Demand Forecasting: Gather demand forecasts from internal stakeholders and develop the procurement strategy accordingly.
• Inventory Management: Optimize stock levels while minimizing holding costs through effective inventory management strategies.
• Cost Optimization: Evaluate and negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, certifications, and sustainability standards related to wood sourcing.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Forestry, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven working experience as a Wood Sourcing Manager or a similar role, preferably in the furniture or wood manufacturing industry.
