The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources is hiring a Sustainable Landscaping Advisor in San Francisco, CA. This role involves educating clients in sustainable landscaping, developing programs for eco-friendly practices, and conducting research on pest management and irrigation. Candidates should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and experience in horticulture. The position requires travel within specific counties.
Job Description:
The UCCE Advisor will serve as an expert in sustainable landscaping practices, providing education and guidance to clients in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. They will develop and implement programs that promote the adoption of environmentally friendly practices in urban landscapes.

Main Responsibilities:
Develop and extend horticultural knowledge to nursery and landscape professionals, government entities, and non-profit agencies. Identify effective non-chemical integrated pest management methods to prevent and/or control targeted pests. Reduce pathogens to conform to disinfected secondary recycled water reuse. Conduct applied research in relevant topics, including integrated pest management practices, use of recycled water for landscape irrigation, and nutrient management.

Key Qualifications:
A Master's degree in environmental, urban, or ornamental horticulture or a related field. Experience in the horticulture, landscape, or urban forestry industry. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule and possess valid California Driver's License.
