Sustainable Forest Manager

We are seeking a Sustainable Forest Manager to join our Woodlands Team in Alberta. The successful candidate will play a key role in the coordination of the Woodlands Information System and contribute to the completion of Forest Harvest Plans.
About the Position
• Active participation in West Fraser's Safety Management system to ensure a safe work environment.
• Development of Final Harvest Plans, including block and road operational plans, and consultation with stakeholders.
• Supervision of field layout contractors to ensure high-quality harvest designs meet government standards.

The ideal candidate has experience as a Planning Forester and is registered or eligible for registration with the Association of Alberta Forest Management Professionals (AAFMP). Strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent verbal and writing talents, and proficiency in LRM, ESRI GIS products, and MS Office applications are essential.
