Indiana Public Schools is seeking a part-time Sustainable Farm Instructor for St. Isidore Farm in Noblesville, IN. Overview: St. Theodore Guerin High School in Noblesville is seeking a part-time Sustainable Farm Instructor to join the team at St. Isidore Farm, its organic vegetable farm on campus. As a Farm Assistant, you will play a crucial role in growing high-quality food while teaching and mentoring high school students and summer interns. Responsibilities:
• Assist in growing high-quality food in an effective and safe manner, according to the sustainable and regenerative principles of the Farm's approach. Tasks may include bed preparation, sowing & seed starting, weeding, irrigation, harvesting, and cleaning & sorting for customers
• Independently lead high school students and summer interns in various Farm tasks
• Clearly and respectfully communicate with the Farm Director about ongoing Farm operations
• Commonly do quick checks and/or water seedling trays on weekends
• Take over Farm leadership during times when the Farm Director is away
• Keep track of own hours and report them regularly

• Comfortable working in a Catholic environment and respect for the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Gardening experience and openness to sustainable farming practices
• Physical ability to perform basic gardening tasks and willingness to work outside in a range of weather conditions
• Comfortable working with high school students and volunteers, many of whom have limited gardening experience
• Good communication skills and ability to interpret occasional spreadsheets and task lists
• Good work ethic, self-motivation, and attention to detail
