Job Description
Scout Clean Energy is hiring a Sustainable Energy Procurement Specialist in Boulder, CO. The role involves developing procurement strategies for renewable energy projects, maintaining vendor relationships, analyzing procurement data, and implementing category management strategies. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in renewable energy. Strong organizational skills and a track record in contract negotiation are essential.
About the Role
Scout Clean Energy is seeking an experienced and strategic procurement professional to join our team as a Sustainable Energy Procurement Specialist. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in shaping our purchasing strategies and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of renewable energy technologies.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and goals.
• Develop and execute comprehensive procurement plans for utility-scale wind power projects.
• BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG VENDOR RELATIONSHIPS THROUGH REGULAR COMMUNICATION AND PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS.
• CONDUCT IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS OF PROCUREMENT DATA TO IDENTIFY EFFICIENCY OPPORTUNITIES AND IMPROVE CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS.
• DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT CATEGORY MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES TO OPTIMIZE PROCUREMENT OUTCOMES.
• SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF WIND TURBINE GENERATOR MARKET INTELLIGENCE DASHBOARDS.
• ANALYZE AND REPORT ON PROCUREMENT KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) TO DRIVE BUSINESS DECISION-MAKING.
Requirements
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Finance, or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
• CATEGORY MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH TECHNICAL AND COMMERCIAL COMPLEXITY IS ESSENTIAL.
• PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESSFULLY NEGOTIATING COMPLEX CONTRACTS AND BUILDING STRONG VENDOR RELATIONSHIPS.
• STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS WITH A PROCESS-ORIENTED APPROACH AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
