About the Role

As a key member of our Conservation team, you will be responsible for leading our climate strategy in Alaska. You will work closely with colleagues in Government Relations, Communications, Philanthropy, and Finance/Operations to develop and implement effective climate conservation programs.
• Develop and manage annual work planning as the body of climate work expands.
• Support project activities related to climate, including climate projects that may be primarily led by Conservation, Government Relations, and Communications teams.
• Serve as subject matter expert on climate change, climate resilience, climate adaptation, natural climate solutions, climate mitigation, and/or climate metrics.

About Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in conservation practice or a related field. You should have experience managing complex projects, supervising teams, and developing partnerships with non-profit partners, community groups, and government agencies. Knowledge of current trends and practices in climate and Alaska is essential.
