About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in climate change and environmental science. You'll work closely with our Sustainability Office, Nature and Nature-Based Solutions team, Science team, and managers to develop and implement climate action strategies.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Climate Action Director, you'll be responsible for:
• Developing and guiding research projects on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
• Conducting comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate potential climate-related threats.
• Creating carbon sequestration initiatives to achieve Iberostar's Carbon Neutrality goal by 2030.
• Staying up-to-date on trends and technologies for value chain decarbonization.

Requirements and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you'll need:
• A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or a related field.
• Experience with climate risk models, vulnerability analysis, and project budgeting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific information into clear language.
