The Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team in Morgantown, Kentucky. As the new Sustainability Specialist Lead, you will provide critical technical expertise and problem-solving support to business and operational leaders on environmental regulations, requirements, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical guidance on environmental regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with site air, water, waste, and landfill regulations.
• Develop, deploy, and continuously improve site environmental conformance and compliance programs.
• Leverage your experience in environmental management to drive sustainable practices throughout the organization.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A B.S. or B.A. in HSE, environmental management, or a scientific/engineering discipline, along with 8+ years of experience in environmental or health, safety, and environmental management.
• Professional certification(s) in environmental management (e.g., CHMM, REM) is desirable.
• State of Kentucky Landfill Manager certification or capability to achieve certification within one year of hire.
• Proven knowledge of environmental regulations, consensus standards, and best practices, with a track record of effective implementation of compliance and control plans.
