Job Description
Farm Credit Canada is seeking a Sustainability Specialist in Ottawa, ON. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders on environmental sustainability, implementing a Climate and Nature Adaptation plan, and mentoring teams on sustainability practices. Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least four years of experience. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

As a Sustainability Specialist, you'll support efforts to build industry cohesion on environmental sustainability with external stakeholders, drive the implementation of Farm Credit Canada's inaugural Climate and Nature Adaptation and Transition plan, and engage with customer-facing teams to apply a sustainability/ESG lens to high-profile deals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with stakeholders to assess risks and opportunities related to business processes and projects, customer offerings and key business decisions.
• Coach and mentor others to effectively manage performance and best practices.
• Provide recommendations and consultation on governance gaps.
• Maintain sustainability policies and disclosures.
• Research, develop and implement key performance indicators to monitor Farm Credit Canada's overall sustainability performance.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, administration, environmental engineering or other relevant sustainability or ESG certifications and designations combined with at least four years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
