Sustainability Specialist

Bowhead is seeking a full-time Sustainability Specialist in Anchorage, AK. The role involves supporting NEPA document development, conducting research, and creating permit packages. Key responsibilities include analyzing environmental impacts, writing various plans, and developing project descriptions. • Job Description:* The Environmental Specialist will support the development of NEPA documents, including Environmental Assessments, assist in research, develop permit packages, and support projects within UMIAQ Environmental. This role requires strong writing and communication skills, with a focus on clear and concise analysis supported by evidence-based research and best available science.

The successful candidate will analyze environmental impact, write work plans, safety plans, and wildlife interaction plans. They will also develop detailed project descriptions based on information received verbally in meetings and on project drawings/schematics. Additionally, they will follow existing procedures for document review, organization, and file structure, and communicate clearly and respectfully to all coworkers, clients, and stakeholders.
