Job Description

Bureau Veritas Group is hiring a Sustainability Sales Specialist in Sandton, South Africa, to drive sales and expand their client base in sustainability services. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5 years of experience in account management or consulting, and strong knowledge of sustainability practices. Key responsibilities include client engagement, sales strategy development, market research, and collaboration with technical teams.
Introduction

Bureau Veritas is seeking a top-performing Sustainability Sales Specialist to expand our client base across our Sustainability services which encompass technical support, consultancy training, assurance and certification. The Sustainability SalesSpecialist plays a crucial role in promotingand selling Bureau Veritas LEAP 28 Strategy- Transition Servicessuch as climate& carbon, net-zero,sustainability supply chains audit, ESG reporting, etc. The primary objective is to drive sales while ensuring that the company’s sustainability goals are met..

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degreein Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a relatedfield. Advanced degree in Sustainability or Environmental Management is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability practices, including sustainability standardsand regulations.
• At least 5 yearsof experience in key accountmanagement, project management and/or management consulting with a focus on sustainability.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate in a matrix organization and manage multipleaccounts simultaneously
• Knowledge and experience in sustainable financeis a plusExperience of workinginternationally and/or in a multi-cultural environment

Duties and Responsibilities
• Driving marketgrowth focusing on Eastern Africanregion.
• Client Engagement and Relationship Management; building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clientsand expand theircurrent engagements, while identifying new business

opportunities. Understanding client needs related to sustainability and providing tailored solutions that align with their goals.
• Sales Strategy Development, developing sales strategies that effectively communicate the value of sustainability services offered by Bureau Veritas. Collaborating with Sustainability teams to create

promotional materials that highlight the benefits of sustainable practices.
• Market Research and Analysis, conducting market research to identify trendsin sustainability within different sectors and alignedwith Bureau Veritas’LEAP 28 Strategy. Analyzing competitor offerings

to positionBureau Veritas’ serviceseffectively.
• Consultative Selling Approach; Utilizing a consultative selling approach to educate clients about sustainability standards, certifications, and compliance requirements. Offering expertadvice on how

clients can improve their sustainability performance.
• Proposal Development and Presentation; Managing and preparing detailed proposals for potential clients that outline service offerings, pricing structures, and expected
• outcomes. Presenting proposals to stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations.
• Assisting BusinessUnit teams to qualify and win opportunities.
• Collaboration with Technical Teams; Working closely with technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions are feasibleand aligned with industry standards. Facilitating communication between

clients and technical expertsduring project implementation.
• Training and Workshops; Organizing training sessions or workshops for clients to enhance their understanding of sustainability practices. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in sustainability

regulations and best practicesto share knowledgewith clients.
• Lead and/or supportthe planning and organization of local customerevents across EasternAfrican region.
• Participating in industryevents, conferences, or seminars relatedto sustainability to expand professional networks and position Bureau Veritas sustainability services in the market.
• Engaging with industrygroups or associations focused on promoting sustainable business practices; Supporting and/ordeveloping customer eventsacross East Africaregion; Maintaining a robust,

trusted network across the public and private sector sustainability, introduce Bureau Veritas and create and pursue selling opportunities.
• Feedback Collection for Service Improvement; Gathering feedback from clients regardingthe effectiveness of servicesprovided. Using this feedback to inform futureservice development efforts

within Bureau Veritas.
