The firm is seeking a talented professional to support their Head of Sustainability in shaping their sustainability strategy and ensuring they lead the way in sustainable investment practices.

About the Role
As the Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in aligning the company’s sustainability initiatives with its business strategy and regulatory requirements. Your work will be crucial in driving sustainable practices across the firm’s operations and investments, ensuring the business meets its sustainability commitments.

In this role, you’ll engage with portfolio companies and business partners to assess the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance of assets under management, and effectively communicate this information to both internal and external stakeholders, including investors.

Key Responsibilities
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sustainability activities align with relevant regulations. Act as the key point of contact for managing third-party ESG assessments (e.g., PRI) and ensure strategic ambitions are balanced with regulatory requirements.
• Sustainability Strategy: Work closely with the Head of Sustainability to shape and grow the company’s sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and sustainability commitments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and lead cross-functional efforts to integrate sustainability practices into business and investment decisions.
• Market Insight: Undertake horizon scanning and competitor analysis to ensure the sustainability strategy stays ahead of evolving standards, regulations, and best practices.
• ESG Data Management: Lead efforts to improve and accurately report ESG data, working closely with portfolio companies and the Asset Management Team. Utilize internal tools and insights to inform ESG improvement strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with portfolio companies and partners to support key sustainability initiatives at the project and portfolio level.
• Annual Reporting: Take charge of the development of the company’s annual sustainability report, ensuring progress on sustainability commitments is effectively communicated to investors and other key stakeholders.
• Fund Reporting: Contribute to sustainability reporting for both listed and private funds, ensuring transparent disclosure of ESG performance using qualitative and quantitative data.
• Communication: Oversee communication strategies to effectively convey sustainability efforts to investors, employees, and the public, enhancing the firm’s reputation as a leader in sustainable investment.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring:
• A strong background in regulatory compliance, with expertise in reporting standards like GRI, SASB, CSRD, TCFD, ISSB, and more.
• Experience in corporate sustainability, ESG, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of sustainable practices, ESG factors, and relevant regulations.
• A proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability strategies within a corporate setting.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in analysing sustainability metrics and creating clear, comprehensive reports that drive decision-making.
