Bowhead is seeking a detail-oriented Associate Scientist in Anchorage, AK, to manage environmental projects. Job Profile

We seek a detail-oriented Associate Scientist to manage and support our environmental projects. This role demands strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Main Tasks:
• Conduct thorough Phase I, II, & III Environmental Site Assessments
• Evaluate and interpret environmental data, generating concise summary reports
• Cultivate new business opportunities and collaborate closely with clients
• Provide project guidance and support to colleagues
Required Expertise:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Geology, Hydrology, or Environmental Engineering
• 2-3 years of experience in environmental consulting and/or engineering
• Qualification as an Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation Qualified Environmental Professional
• Familiarity with Alaska environmental regulations and federal laws like RCRA, CERCLA, and OSHA
• Hands-on experience collecting samples from contaminated sites
• Exceptional written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Competencies:
• Advanced proficiency in software tools like Access, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, gINT, MS Project
• Expertise in creating SPCC Plans and SWPPPs
• Practical experience in planning, logistics, and fieldwork in isolated areas
