PureFuel is hiring a full-time Sustainability Manager for a fixed-term contract in Stevenage, UK. The role involves leading sustainability projects in the retail sector, utilizing analytical skills for data-driven solutions, and engaging with stakeholders. Sustainability Leadership Role

Purefuel is seeking a Sustainability Manager to drive impactful projects in the retail industry and contribute to meaningful social and environmental progress.

This full-time position is based in Watford, requiring 2 days of on-site work per week.

About the Position

The selected candidate will utilize analytical skills to provide data-driven solutions that promote real change. Key responsibilities include collaboration with industry stakeholders, project management, and contributions to environmental methodologies, data systems, and governance frameworks development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and deliver key sustainability projects within agreed timelines
• Track progress against KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities
• Engage with industry stakeholders, technical experts, and partners to enhance impact
• Develop reports, presentations, and content influencing sustainability strategies
• Use data and insights to inform and improve sustainability initiatives
• Support internal teams in integrating sustainability into business activities

Required Skills and Experience:
• Experience working in Retail, FMCG, Grocery or B2C product-based businesses
• Strong knowledge of environmental sustainability topics
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A proactive mindset driving projects forward independently
• Experience in Scope 3 reporting or environmental labelling
• Knowledge of environmental methodologies, life cycle assessments, and governance frameworks
