Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Sustainability Manager for its Cement division in Allentown, PA. The role involves developing strategies for alternative fuels, ensuring compliance with safety policies, and advocating for sustainable practices. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of AFR sourcing and strong negotiation skills. The position requires frequent travel and on-site visits to industrial environments. What Youll Be Doing:
Develop and implement strategies to increase the use of alternative fuels and raw materials in support of Global strategies, renewable energy, and CO2 conversion applications.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to source and procure AFR sources within the Northeast, North America and Global communities.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures for AFR.
Track and report on CO2 reduction initiatives and progress.
Advocate for low carbon fuels and sustainable practices in policy discussions.
What Are We Looking For:
Extensive knowledge of AFR sourcing and usage with corresponding educational background.
Self-motivated with excellent lateral influencing skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent negotiating skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing situations.
Proficient in techno-economical evaluations and cement manufacturing processes.
Work Environment:
Based in Allentown, PA, with frequent travel required.
Collaborative and dynamic work setting with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
Requires on-site visits to heavy industrial manufacturing environments which may require walking on uneven surfaces, climbing, crawling, and entering confined spaces.
