Sustainability Manager Position Overview

This is a technical role in Sustainability Services responsible for implementing and maintaining sustainability programs for August Mack Environmental, Inc. and our clients.

The position may also involve general work for the Compliance Service Area and Water Resources Service Area.

Work will be performed under the direction of multiple experienced technical personnel with a report to the Vice President of Technical Services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess sustainability opportunities on projects performed by AME and identify next steps.
• Support Sustainability service projects for August Mack Environmental and its clients, including energy audits, water audits, and carbon documentation.
• Develop a baseline sustainability program for August Mack Environmental and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with staff from Compliance and Water Resources on client relationships and existing client maintenance.
• Act as a consultant for clients to help them identify sustainability opportunities in their operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Maintain accurate records and manage data.
• Collect, record, and evaluate scientific data.
• Prepare reports and interpret sustainability guidelines for various clients.
• Effectively work on multiple simultaneous projects.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in environmental consulting.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Working Conditions:

The job requires 75% office work and 25% travel to client locations, which includes day trips and extended overnight stays.
