Texas State University is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead and implement sustainability initiatives on campus. The role involves developing sustainable practices, collaborating with departments, managing projects, and educating the community about environmental stewardship. Develop and implement sustainable practices, policies, and programs for the university.
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Lead sustainability efforts and initiatives on campus and in the surrounding community.
Stay updated on current environmental issues and sustainability principles to inform decision-making.
Communicate effectively with individuals and groups to raise awareness and educate about sustainability.
Manage projects related to sustainability, including setting goals, creating timelines, and overseeing budgets.
Evaluate the effectiveness of current sustainability practices and make recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with campus departments to integrate sustainability practices into their operations.
Develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations and agencies to advance sustainability efforts.
Serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff on sustainability-related topics.
Monitor and report on the university's progress towards sustainability goals.
Represent the university at sustainability conferences and events.
Engage and motivate others to participate in sustainable practices and initiatives.
Continuously research and implement new and innovative ways to reduce the university's ecological footprint.
In collaboration with marketing and communications teams, promote and publicize sustainability initiatives and achievements.
