Job Description

Calderys is seeking a Sustainability Manager in India to ensure compliance with CSR regulations, implement impact projects, and foster partnerships with NGOs. Responsibilities include managing CSR initiatives, overseeing audits, and engaging local stakeholders. The role requires a bachelor's/master's degree, 5+ years of experience in CSR, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time position that involves both independent and collaborative work.
Mission

As a Sustainable manager, your role includes ensuring compliance with Indian CSR regulations, conceptualizing and implementing impact projects, fostering partnerships with NGOs, and collaborating with local stakeholders to address community needs. You must also support employee social initiatives, oversee CSR audits, and effectively communicate CSR efforts both internally and externally. Y

Responsibilities
• Indian CSR Compliance & Governance
• Ensure compliance with all applicable CSR laws and regulations, including the Companies Act, 2013.
• Manage CSR initiatives under the Calderys Social Welfare Trust, ensuring alignment with the company’s CSR policy.
• Support audits and documentation related to CSR compliance and reporting.
• Track and report CSR spending as per legal requirements. Conduct periodic impact assessments of CSR initiatives for big projects.
• Project Conceptualization & Implementation
• Identify and implement CSR projects aligned with the company’s thematic focus areas.
• Conduct due diligence of NGOs and partners to ensure alignment with company policies and objectives.
• Work closely with local stakeholders to assess community needs and design impactful interventions.
• Manage project execution, monitoring, and impact assessment.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
• Develop and maintain partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and community organizations.
• Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government officials, village leaders, and industry bodies, to maximize the impact of CSR programs.
• Facilitate employee participation in social initiatives through an Individual Social Responsibility (ISR) platform.
• Support the Ladies Club’s social initiatives, ensuring alignment with company policies and CSR objectives.
• Communication & Reporting

In partnership with Group Communications:
• Develop and publish the annual CSR report for Calderys India and Steelcasting on website.
• Create internal and external communication materials, including impact stories, and CSR updates.

Requirements
• Bachelor's/master's degree in social work, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in CSR, or social impact roles, preferably in the manufacturing sector and in the geographies of – Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Orissa, Haryana, West Bengal
• Strong knowledge of Indian CSR laws, reporting requirements, and best practices.
• Experience in NGO due diligence, partnership management, and project execution.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
• English fluent, other languages are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
