Job Description
Kronos is seeking a full-time Sustainability Intern to support environmental and sustainability initiatives. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, developing SOPs for ESG data, assisting in EcoVadis implementation, and supporting marketing efforts. The position requires project management skills and knowledge of environmental topics. It is a 4-month internship with a flexible schedule, including remote work on Fridays.

Job Title: Environmental and Sustainability Intern
Reports to: Strategic Business Unit Director
Schedule: M-F 7:00am 3:30pm, with flexibility including remote work on Fridays. Anticipated duration of 4 months (can be shortened or lengthened based on individual and company needs)
Summary:
This individual will be responsible for working with various stakeholders throughout Halton to advance our environmental and sustainability positions through contributions to key projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Projects and focus areas may include the following:
Develop and finalize a standardized operating procedure (SOP) for ESG data collection, analysis, and reporting including workflows for accurate data entry into the Position Green PlatformPartner with procurement teams to assist with the implementation of EcoVadis in South Carolina and KentuckySupport Haltons marketing team in creating internal ESG communication and engagement materials designed to build awareness and participation across the organizationCollaborate with cross-functional team members to establish baseline assumptions for carbon footprint modeling, leveraging model codes, production data, and operational inputsAssist with the analysis and implementation of plans of a GHG sustainability roadmap aimed at improving the performance of the South Carolina business unit.
Qualifications
Education and/or experience in environmental, sustainability, and governance topics and concepts. Bachelors degree preferredExperience managing projects, timelines and identifying deliverablesAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with various Halton stakeholders domestically and internationallyAbility to work independently as well as part of cross-functional teamsExperience and understanding of local and state environmental policies preferred but not required
