Interv_l Group is seeking a Sustainability Initiatives Specialist to support sustainability efforts across UK operations and European headquarters. The role involves compliance reporting, data analysis, sustainable procurement, and stakeholder engagement to enhance sustainability initiatives. Candidates should have experience in sustainability, knowledge of environmental legislation, and strong analytical skills. This is a full-time position based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom.

In this dynamic position, you will play a key role in supporting sustainability efforts across our UK operations and European headquarters, with the aim of reducing environmental impacts and advancing a circular economy.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure adherence to all relevant environmental legislation and standards across the UK.
• Support and facilitate international material compliance processes.
• Prepare comprehensive sustainability reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Update and refine sustainability group policies in response to technical changes.

Data Analysis and Management:
• Collect, analyze, and manage sustainability data while maintaining compliance inventories (e.g., SAP Product and Reach Compliance).
• Calculate product carbon footprints for UK and European operations.
• Assist with data inquiries and annual reporting to enhance sustainability ratings.
• Utilize data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and assess project effectiveness.

Sustainable Procurement:
• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure sustainable sourcing practices.
• Support sustainability inquiries during procurement processes.

Sustainability Strategies:
• Contribute to the development and execution of robust sustainability plans.
• Monitor progress and provide updates on sustainability initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement:
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to champion sustainability objectives.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance awareness of sustainability practices.
• Aid in corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts by addressing sustainability-related inquiries.

Research and Innovation:
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the sustainability sector.
• Edit and enhance sustainability communication materials for clarity and impact.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in a sustainability or environmental administration role, eager to advance into a specialist position.
• Educational background in data science, environmental sciences, sustainability, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of carbon footprint analysis and strategies for reduction.
• Familiarity with environmental legislation and regulations (e.g., Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Battery Regulation, REACH, RoHS, ISO 14001, 50001).
• Experience with data management and reporting tools; SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, with an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
