As a Sustainability Consulting Analyst, you will assist clients in developing and implementing strategies to reduce their environmental impact, enhance sustainability practices, and drive business value through sustainable solutions. You will work on diverse projects in areas such as carbon emissions reduction, resource efficiency, waste management, and sustainability reporting. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact sustainability initiatives and work closely with clients across various industries. Key Responsibilities: Sustainability Strategy and Analysis: Assist in the development of sustainability strategies tailored to client needs, focusing on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. Analyze clients' current sustainability performance, identifying opportunities for improvement in energy use, waste management, and resource efficiency. Support the development of sustainability roadmaps and action plans to help clients meet their sustainability goals. Data Collection and Reporting: Assist in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting sustainability-related data, including energy consumption, carbon emissions, waste generation, and water usage. Prepare sustainability reports and dashboards that summarize key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate progress toward sustainability goals. Help clients with sustainability reporting and compliance with frameworks such as GRI, CDP, and other ESG reporting standards. Carbon Footprint and Resource Efficiency: Support clients in measuring and reducing their carbon footprint through energy efficiency initiatives, renewable energy adoption, and emissions reduction strategies. Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) to evaluate the environmental impact of products or services and identify opportunities to reduce their carbon and resource footprint. Assist in developing strategies for reducing resource consumption (e.g., water, energy, raw materials) and increasing operational efficiency. Supply Chain Sustainability: Help clients assess the sustainability of their supply chains, evaluating the environmental and social performance of suppliers. Assist in the development of sustainable sourcing strategies and work with suppliers to improve sustainability practices. Support clients in identifying and managing sustainability risks in their supply chains. Client Engagement and Communication: Prepare presentations, reports, and other materials to communicate sustainability findings and recommendations to clients. Participate in client meetings and workshops to understand their sustainability challenges and opportunities. Collaborate with senior consultants to present and implement recommendations for improving sustainability practices. Research and Innovation: Stay informed on emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and best practices in various industries. Conduct research to help clients adopt innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable technologies or practices. Benchmark client sustainability practices against industry standards to identify gaps and recommend improvements. Collaboration and Learning: Collaborate with internal teams and clients to implement sustainability initiatives and track progress. Continuously learn about new tools, methods, and regulations in the sustainability space. Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing to the development of solutions that meet clients' sustainability goals. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Strong academic performance with a demonstrated interest in sustainability and environmental issues. Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools. Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards, such as GRI, CDP, or ISO 14001. Familiarity with sustainability reporting tools, carbon accounting, and resource efficiency assessments is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and ideas clearly to clients. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing timelines and deliverables effectively.
