Job Description

Ignite is seeking a full-time Sustainability Consultant in Sutherland, NSW, Australia. The role involves ESG assessment, carbon and climate risk analysis, and strategy development. Candidates should have a tertiary qualification in sustainability or related fields, with at least 2 years of consulting experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful sustainability initiatives across various sectors.
Our client is a leading provider of sustainability advisory services across Australia and the Pacific. We work with a diverse range of clients to deliver practical, evidence-based solutions in sustainability strategy, climate risk, ESG reporting, and carbon accounting.

We are currently seeking a Sustainability Consultant to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is ideal for a motivated and skilled professional with a passion for sustainability and experience in consulting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to projects in ESG assessment and reporting, carbon and climate risk analysis, and strategy development
• Analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative sustainability data
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and client presentations
• Engage effectively with stakeholders from a wide range of sectors
• Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies for clients

Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental, climate change or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in sustainability or related consulting
• Must have either Australian citizenship or permanent residency visa
• Strong analytical skills and experience with ESG, carbon reporting, or climate risk
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident working independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Familiarity with frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, ASRS
