Job Summary

Net Zero India is hiring Surya Mitras under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana to provide end-to-end support for customers—from registration to subsidy release. This role requires both technical expertise in solar installation and customer support skills to assist applicants with documentation, financing, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Registration & Documentation Support
• Guide customers through the registration process on the official portal.
• Assist in collecting and verifying documents required for subsidy approval (property papers, identity proof, electricity bills, etc.).
• Ensure proper documentation submission to avoid delays.

2. Financing & Payment Assistance
• Educate customers on loan options and facilitate financing if needed.
• Coordinate with banks/NBFCs for loan approvals and disbursements.
• Ensure customers understand the payment structure and advance payment process.

3. Solar System Installation & Quality Assurance
• Conduct site surveys to check roof feasibility, shadow analysis, and load calculations.
• Oversee and execute the installation of solar panels, inverters, and wiring as per MNRE and DISCOM standards.
• Ensure safety compliance and high-quality workmanship.

4. Post-Installation Support & Grid Connectivity
• Assist customers in the net metering process, ensuring timely approvals from DISCOM.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and educate customers on system maintenance and energy savings.
• Monitor system performance and coordinate after-sales service if needed.

5. Subsidy Processing & Release
• Track subsidy application progress and coordinate with relevant authorities for timely release.
• Keep customers updated on subsidy status and resolve compliance-related issues.
• Maintain records and escalate delayed subsidy payments for resolution.

Qualifications & Skills
• Mandatory: Certified Surya Mitra from NISE or a government-recognized solar training program.
• Preferred: ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy.
• Experience in solar system installation, financing, or customer handling (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in field conditions, interact with DISCOM officials, and ensure a smooth customer journey.
• Basic understanding of net metering, grid connection, and subsidy policies.
