Power Advocate, Inc. is hiring a Supply Chain Market Research and Data Associate to support market insights related to supplier diversity, carbon emissions, and risk within their Supply Chain Market Intelligence Group. Responsibilities include data analysis, collaboration in an Agile team, and supporting sales processes. Candidates should have a quantitative degree, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical abilities. This position is remote, allowing work from anywhere.

Wood Mackenzie Values Inclusive – we succeed together Trusting – we choose to trust each other Customer committed – we put customers at the heart of our decisions Future Focused – we accelerate change Curious – we turn knowledge into action WoodMac.com Wood Mackenzie brand video Role Purpose The Supply Chain Market Intelligence Group (MIG) is a team responsible for managing the market insights delivered through our suite of software-as-a-service products, including price benchmarking, cost escalation, forecasting, renewable asset cost estimating, commodity exposure, supply chain risks, carbon (GHG) emissions, supplier and other category insights across all goods and services procured globally by the energy and natural resource industry. Our clients primarily leverage these insights to identify opportunities to save money and reduce risks. We are a hybrid group that wears many hats: data analyst, consultant, economist, market researcher and product owner. In our hybrid role, we collaborate closely with many teams in the company, including product development, data science, research groups, consulting, sales & marketing and customer success, among others. In particular, this role will focus on Supplier Diversity, Carbon Emissions, Risk, and other supplier and category insights within MIG. Main Responsibilities Perform data extraction, manipulation, cleaning, analysis and QA of large datasets Manipulate existing data in new ways. Cleanse and enrich data to make it more powerful. Pioneer new ways to analyze and visualize data Collaborate in a self-managed Agile team to drive continuous improvement of our product and processes Bring thought leadership by assessing the industry and the broader business environment to account for customer preferences, industry trends, market conditions, and business needs Support the sales process by creating marketing collateral infused with market insights and contributing to go-to-market strategies, proposal development and product demonstrations Manage multiple MIG client accounts and serve as an expert on select Wood Mackenzie supply chain products About You Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and time management skills with attention to detail Proven ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment, to manage multiple tasks and/or projects with changing priorities Enjoys organizing large data sets, identifying discrepancies, and making appropriate adjustments Excellent communication skills, both oral and written A self-starter who takes initiative, asks questions, and is eager to learn English proficiency required Pluses: Experience in the energy industry Proficiency with databases Proficiency with Talend or other ETL software Equal Opportunities We are an equal opportunities employer.
