Job Description
Micron Technology is seeking a Supply Chain Engineer 2 in Boise, ID. The role involves supporting semiconductor supply chain systems, conducting performance analysis, and collaborating with partners to improve processes. Key requirements include a Master’s degree in a relevant field, knowledge of supply chain principles, SQL coding, and optimization techniques. Support planning and execution systems powering semiconductor supply chain. Highlight and drive resolution to issues in planning, gaps between strategy, manufacturing capability, and market demand. Track and analyze business performance against targets, conduct root cause analysis to find opportunities for improvement, and collaborate with Supply Chain partners to implement solutions. Build, study, and summarize impacts of various what-if scenarios. Build an understanding of the interaction of Supply Chain technology solutions and collaborate with Supply Chain and IT to drive improvements. Identify process gaps/improvement opportunities and collaborate with key stakeholders to implement robust processes. Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional forums, meetings, and activities that drive engagement and alignment across the organization. Communicate business metrics and project status with Global Operations leadership. Analyze demand and supply trends, summarize risks and opportunities to sales, marketing, and supply chain teams. Leverage big data to build large-scale optimization models. Develop and deliver training for the Global Supply Chain organization.
Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial /Production Engineering/Management, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Position also requires:
1. Supply Chain Design and Modelling Principles
2. SQL Coding and tools
3. Queueing theory, lean, theory of constraints, and Little’s Law.
4. Math Modelling and Optimization techniques including Linear, Non-Linear, and Mixed Integer.
5. Statistical analysis and data analysis techniques.
