Job Description

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is offering Summer Undergrad Research Jobs in Limnology & Aquatic Ecology. This position pays up to $15/hour and includes free housing for students in Northern Wisconsin. Responsibilities include participating in research on aquatic ecosystems, data collection, and educational outreach. Candidates must commit to a full-time schedule from May to August 2025 and be willing to work in both Madison and Northern Wisconsin.

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

- Support the operations of the Hasler Laboratory of Limnology and Trout Lake Station

What is Required (Qualifications):

- Availability to work from mid/end of May to mid/end of August 2025
- Ability to work in both Madison and Northern Wisconsin locations
- Strong interest in ecology, limnology, and environmental science
- Willingness to engage in team-oriented projects and initiatives

- Previous experience or coursework in ecology, limnology, chemistry, or related fields
- Strong communication skills for outreach and public engagement
- Familiarity with research methodologies in environmental science
