Job Description

Miller Waste System is hiring summer students for temporary full-time roles in Markham, ON, from May to August 2025. Positions are available in People & Culture, Learning & Development, and Finance, offering hands-on experience and networking opportunities. Candidates should be enrolled in a post-secondary program, possess strong communication skills, and be eager to learn. The hourly wage is CA$20. Applications close on April 7, 2025.
Location: Markham, Ontario

Position Type: Temporary Full-Time

Start Date: May 2025 – August 2025

Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Summary:

Are you a student looking to gain valuable work experience this summer? We are currently hiring enthusiastic and motivated summer students to join various departments within our organization. This is a great opportunity to develop new skills, build your resume, and work in a dynamic environment!

Available Departments:
• People & Culture
• Clean up employee files, standardize policies, assist with recruitment, and support administrative processes.
• Learning & Development
• Organize venues & food for training, oversee onboarding/offboarding, manage tuition reimbursements, and track learning requests in Smartsheet.
• Finance
• Assist with general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (college/university)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Eager to learn and take on new challenges
• Available to work full-time during the summer months
