Summer Internship Program

The Indian Sugar & Bio-Energy Manufacturers Association is seeking a Summer Intern to support sustainability initiatives in the biofuels and energy sector. Candidates should have knowledge of sustainability practices, carbon trading, and renewable energy regulations. Responsibilities include developing strategies aligned with sustainability goals and staying updated on energy regulatory frameworks. The internship is a 3-month in-person position, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

If you are a person who has domain knowledge of sustainability best practices, Carbon

Trading/Crediting norms and practices, Renewable Energy policy and regulation, energy

markets and regulation and are zealous enough to take new initiatives, build institutional

capacity for adopting sustainability practices from an industry point of view and have

demonstrable experience of problem solving, creative and critical thinking and a passion for

sustainability then this job is for you.

Responsibilities and Requirements

1. Understand the current business goals and Develop strategies aligned with the

association's sustainability goals.

2. Demonstrated interest and experience in the aforementioned areas.

3. Stay abreast of energy regulatory frameworks, renewable energy markets (e.g., bagasse-

based cogeneration), and energy efficiency regulations like the PAT mechanism.

4. Possess in-depth knowledge of carbon trading in the Indian Carbon Credit Trading

Scheme, Voluntary Carbon Markets, Article 6 of the Paris Agreement etc.

5. Strong analytical and communication skills

6. Capacity to create and establish a robust identity for the sustainability impact of ISMA

and sugar industry products
