Notre Dame's recently established Just Transformations to Sustainability Initiative is seeking driven, detail-oriented students passionate about global sustainability to join our team as 2025 Summer Interns.

Just Transformations to Sustainability Initiative will train a new generation of sustainability champions dedicated to caring for our common home in ways that will not leave behind the most vulnerable among us. Drawing inspiration from Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si', the initiative aims to transform how students and faculty at Notre Dame engage with sustainability research and practice. It also seeks to transform the field of sustainability itself through high-impact research and knowledge creation, curricular innovations, and global engagement.

Summer interns will join a collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced team and will work directly with Initiative leadership to help establish and grow key programs as part of the Initiative's launch phase. Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Landscape analyses: To help inform the Initiative's outreach and partnership strategies, interns will complete a landscape analysis of Catholic universities both in the United States and globally to produce a comprehensive mapping of active sustainability programs within these peer institutions.
• Supporting workshops and convenings: The Initiative intends to conduct multiple planning workshops with various stakeholder groups during the summer. Student interns will support various aspects of the planning and implementation of these events, including participant coordination, event logistics, and reporting.
• Building organizational systems and resources: Student interns will work with the managing director to develop the organizational systems and resources necessary for a new and growing campus unit to operate effectively and efficiently. This work will include creating standard operating procedures, organizational documents, tracking systems, and office databases.
