Job Description
Precision Castparts is offering a Summer EHS Internship in Toronto, OH for students pursuing degrees in Environmental or Safety disciplines. Interns will apply EHS principles, conduct safety inspections, create hazard maps, perform fit testing, and engage in various environmental projects. This paid internship includes a housing stipend and opportunities for training and career progression. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Gain hands-on experience at Precision Castparts Corp. as an EHS Co-op student, applying EHS principles in real-world settings.
Your Role:
Key responsibilities include:
• Apply EHS principles learned in school to hands-on situations.
• Work with the hourly workforce to address day-to-day safety concerns.
• Create Department Hazard Maps.
• Review Environmental/Safety Policies, Procedures, and Programs.
• Perform Respirator Fit Testing.
• Conduct Plant-wide Hearing Conservation Survey.
• Gather/Research Safety Data for the Safety Department.
• Conduct Confined Space Entry Evaluations.
• Perform Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for various processes and tasks.
• Work on various environmental projects.
• Attend safety training sessions and other educational opportunities.
• Perform daily safety inspections.
• Bring safety concerns to the Safety Department.
About You:
Candidates should be:
• Full-time students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Environmental or Safety discipline.
• Knowledgeable in environmental, health, and safety engineering practices and regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, etc.).
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
• Able to provide proof of US citizenship, nationality, or permanent resident status.
Benefits:
This is a paid position with a housing stipend. Relocation is authorized for this position.
