CLEAResult is seeking a part-time Subject Matter Expert - Hydrogen Consultant with over 15 years of hydrogen energy expertise. The role involves analyzing trends, evaluating project plans, and developing reports on renewable energy strategies. Candidates should have an advanced degree in engineering or a scientific field, with significant experience in the renewable energy sector. The position is remote, requiring occasional travel for technical meetings.

Energetics is accepting applications for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Hydrogen for immediate employment. This is a tremendous opportunity to get involved with the renewable energy technology consulting field. Qualified candidates will be graduates in an engineering or scientific field of interest, as noted below under requirements. The position is for a part-time SME who has expertise in the renewable energy field. Significant utility, industry, or national laboratory R&D experience is preferred. Leadership experience in an R&D environment is a plus. The position is a remote position, with some travel needed to attend technical meetings.

We are currently recruiting for the following expertise. Other areas of transportation expertise will also be considered:
• 15+ years of hydrogen energy expertise
• Assessment of hydrogen energy options
• Hydrogen system design and grid integration
• Operations and maintenance of hydrogen energy systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned)
• Analysis of trends and technical factors related to hydrogen energy
• Evaluation of hydrogen energy project plans
• Research and analysis of regulations and policies impacting the development and deployment of hydrogen technologies
• Development of studies, reports, and summaries related to renewable energy infrastructure strategies
• Resource assessment and roadmaps for renewable energy technology deployment.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Requires an advanced degree in an engineering or scientific field
• Equivalent combination of knowledge and specialized experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Candidates must have at least 15 years of relevant experience in the field of hydrogen energy
• Candidates should have excellent understanding of renewable energy technologies, the science behind them, and their technical challenges for deployment in today's market
• Demonstrated experience in program and project management a plus
Additional Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferable
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, and written)
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to excel working on self-managed tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
• Comfortable in multitasking on time-sensitive tasks without diminished quality of work
• Strong interest in sustainability
Target Compensation:

$60 - $120 / hour

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
