Job Description
The University of Alaska is seeking undergraduate students for a Student Assistant position at the Alaska Center for Energy and Power in Anchorage or Fairbanks. The role involves supporting energy research and requires collaboration with diverse teams. Applicants must be enrolled as UA students with a minimum GPA of 2.0. This part-time position is available during the academic year and can be full-time in summer.
The Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP) provides valuable learning and job opportunities for UA students in a variety of fields including energy, engineering, and technology. ACEP works with Alaskan communities and industries as leaders establishing the energy systems of the future.
This posting is for undergraduate students who have been selected for a student assistant position with any department within the Alaska Center for Energy and Power. The assistantship is per semester or full academic year basis.
To thrive in this role, interest in energy research and research support is beneficial. As a part of the Alaska Center for Energy and Power, you will need to collaborate, work, and communicate with diverse teams. Good organizational skills and a desire to learn and grow professionally will help you be successful in your role.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Applicant should be enrolled as a UA student in a minimum of 6 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0, or a newly enrolled student.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAF (Fairbanks, AK) or UAA (Anchorage, AK) campuses. This is a part-time position during the academic year and can be full-time during the summer. This is an hourly position and pay is commensurate with experience, education, and the level of responsibilities within the position.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year. Please note that this position will be closed on June 30, 2025.
