Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer – Solar to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural components for ground-mounted and rooftop solar power plants, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and analyze structural foundations and mounting systems for solar power plants (rooftop and ground-mount).
• Perform load calculations, wind & seismic analysis, and structural integrity assessments for solar PV structures.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, reports, and technical documentation in compliance with national and international codes (IS, ASCE, Eurocode, etc.).
• Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, durability, and ease of installation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, for project execution.
• Conduct on-site structural inspections and audits to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Provide technical support to procurement and construction teams during project execution.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in structural design, preferably in the solar industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, or similar structural analysis software.
• Strong knowledge of steel and concrete structures, load calculations, and foundation design.
• Familiarity with solar mounting structures, IS codes, NBC, and international standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills
• Experience in Solar EPC or renewable energy projects.
• Understanding of manufacturing and material selection for structural components.
