Strategic Sourcing - NPD & Capex

Exponent Energy is seeking a Strategic Sourcing professional to manage supplier relationships and drive sourcing projects for innovative electric vehicle components. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, ensuring quality and cost efficiency, and collaborating with various teams. The ideal candidate should have experience in sourcing, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-first attitude. The position is based in Karnataka, India, and is full-time.
You’ll be working with the Strategic Sourcing team.

This team runs on supplier negotiations, spend analysis and coffee (with suppliers of course). The team has an infectious passion for building deep and engaging relationships with our supplier partners and developing capabilities to manufacture innovative products and components.

What you will do

In this role, you will own the Supply Chain of strategic commodities across categories, working closely with supplier partners, engineering, product and operations teams to deliver Exponent Enabled Electric Vehicles with 15-minute rapid charging to the market.

Responsibilities
• Drive supplier relationships to deliver supplier partner metrics of cost, quality, delivery & localisation
• Negotiate prices, contracts and on-board suppliers in tandem with New product development & Capex
• Drive sourcing projects, and build process capabilities with partners across standard as well as built to print parts
• Benchmark cost & quality for parts; identify suppliers, process capabilities, or technologies that will drive productivity
• Drive supplier engagements to further innovation & quality across products
