Job Description
The Storage Engineer position is a contract role based in Burlington, MA, offering a pay range of $45 to $50 per hour. Responsibilities include managing and troubleshooting Dell Compellent storage, Brocade and Cisco SAN environments, and performing data migration and disaster recovery planning. Candidates should have hands-on experience with various storage technologies and tools, as well as relevant certifications.

Job Responsibilities:
• Storage:
Dell Compel lent Storage.
• SAN:
Brocade & Cisco SAN operational management and advanced troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, and Object storage for multi-OEM environments.
• Creating, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting LUNs, volumes, shares, and exports.
• Creating, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting ACLs and permissions for NAS resources.
• Configuration and management of Brocade & Cisco SAN.
• Tasks include creation of device alias, zones, adding zones to zone set, and activating zone set.
• Resolve severity issues and perform RCAs for recurring problems.
• Perform storage product upgrades, patching, capacity/performance monitoring, and system health checks.
• Provide proactive suggestions and remediations based upon capacity and performance monitoring.
• Fine-tune the performance parameters based upon workload requirements.
• Analyze, optimize, install, configure, and troubleshoot.
• Data/client migration to new/existing infrastructure.
• Disaster Recovery (DR) and/or Business Continuity Planning (BCP) documentation.
• Documentation for runbooks/KBs for Storage/Data Protection services.
• Storage replication, snapshot, and snapshot replication configuration and management.
• SAN switch port/performance issues monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Gather and share security vulnerability information.
• Hands-on experience with storage/SAN management tools like Dell Ops Manager, Unisphere, Netapp OCI, Pure1, San Nav, DCNM, etc.
• Hands-on experience handling hardware issues with third-party vendors/OEM partners.
• Service management tools know-how, specifically, Service-Now, IM (Incident Management), CM (Change Management), PM (Problem Management).
• License management on devices in SAN/NAS environments.
• Good understanding of Recovery Time Objective (RTO) & Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
• Good understanding of OS (Windows and Linux) and interoperability/multipath.
• Hands-on exposure to any of the available public clouds.
• Must have professional level certification with any of the 2 listed vendor technologies.
