Brief Description

Staff Hydrologist I-III

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado (Hybrid Work Option)

Compensation: $32.41 - $39.61 per hour depending on experience.

LRE Water is looking for a Staff Hydrologist to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position provides an exciting opportunity for individuals to develop technical expertise while supporting various water resource projects, fieldwork, and client interactions. The role involves assisting with hydrologic investigations, water court applications, fieldwork, and supporting senior staff on technical and project management tasks.

Key Responsibilities
• Technical Support: Assist with water supply planning, stream depletion analysis, water rights investigations, and water budget modeling.
• Fieldwork: Participate in data collection activities such as streamflow measurements, water quality sampling, groundwater pump tests, and pond depth surveys.
• Project Management Support: Aid in scope development, monitor project deadlines, and assist in preparing technical reports.
• Client Interaction: Assist clients in identifying issues and providing solutions related to water resources.
• Litigation Support: Prepare reports and assist in legal documentation for water court applications and other litigation processes.

Qualifications
• Experience: 0+ years of relevant experience in hydrogeology, water resources, or a related field.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license required.
• Technical Skills: Experience with engineering software, Microsoft Suite, Google Earth, ArcGIS, and other relevant tools is a plus.
