THE OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Estimator/Draftsperson to join our team based in Gepps Cross. Reporting to the National Steel Framing Design & Estimating Manager, this position involves working across our collaborative X1 Framing team, assisting in the design and detailing of lightweight steel framing designs and Outback Pavilion designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviewing residential, commercial and industrial plans
• Detailing and designing lightweight steel framing for Stratco's customer base
• Liaising with sales representatives and members of the senior management team in various locations
• Liaising with customers, including builders and engineers, to confirm specifications and project requirements
• Preparing estimates and quotations for Stratco sales team members and customers
• Collaborate with team members, other business areas and projects as required
• Strict adherence to our critical safety rules & contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU
• Tertiary qualifications in Estimating, Building Design or a related trade qualification
• Experience in an estimating role (advantageous)
• Drafting skills and experience &/or exposure to a CAD/CAM environment (advantageous)
• Excellent computer and data entry skills
• Ability to plan, prioritise and work to project timelines
• Strong customer focus with an eye for detail and a sense of urgency to achieve results
• Understanding of Australian building and construction codes, standards and techniques
• Excellent mathematical and conceptualisation skills
• Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
