Ameresco is seeking a Sr. Project Manager based in Michigan to oversee multimillion-dollar energy efficiency projects. Ameresco has a new opportunity based in Michigan Territory for a Sr. Project Manager to join our Building Services Team in support of the final design, construction, and successful implementation of multimillion-dollar energy efficiency projects.

Responsibilities:
• P&L Responsibility for range of concurrent projects with a maximum of $10 - 12MM in overall project value;
• Drive profit through efficient project execution and change orders/value add;
• Meet with internal/external project stakeholders on a regular basis and communicate with all in writing;
• Maintain project status notes, for example, keeping accurate notes when attending internal and external meetings and document back to stakeholders when necessary;
• Partners with company peers and leadership to develop best practice standards;
• Manage all subcontractor contracts and relationships on assigned projects
• Utilizes company applications to manage project success;
• Develop projects schedules, critical path, and resource needs for assigned projects on a monthly basis with a minimum of 3 month look ahead with accuracy meeting annual performance goal;
• Discover and develop change orders or buyouts to meet annual performance goal;
• Maintain a schedule slip per annual performance goals;
• Accurately develop and maintain multi-month budget/forecasting revenue and payment forecasts;
• In partnership with accounting, manage payment terms and balances with customers and sub-contractors;
• Has demonstrated understanding of construction procedures such as AIA forms, progress billing, RFI/RFQ process and will be responsible for creating Schedule of Values (SOV) on all assigned projects in order to maintain positive working capital;
• Own development and execution of communication procedures with internal/external team members. Including documenting all project communications;
• Lead, direct, and hold accountable all team members assigned to project;
• Mentor junior staff;
• Customer satisfaction percentage shall meet or exceed annual performance goal
• Demonstrates full execution and understanding of project management processes such as Risk Analysis, Budgeting/Forecasting and Cost to Complete; and
• Shall be proficient in market segment such as controls, lighting, energy projects.

P&L Responsibility Breakout
The Project Manager shall manage Profit and Loss by:
• Efficient material and trades buy-out;
• Strategic project execution resulting in reduced labor efforts. (labor proficiency);
• Identifying out of scope work resulting in change order opportunity;
• Holding trades accountable for quality of deliverable;
• Participate in project development and estimating;
• Quickly identifies and resolves misappropriated costs to projects;
• Manages accurate project data for reporting of progress;
• Limits warranty related calls due to quality issues; and
• Meets or exceeds project booked margin.

Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years in project management in the field of construction and/or 2+ years specific experience with Plug Smart Project Management.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in related field such as PMP etc.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and train.
• Proficient with Project Manager tools such as Microsoft PM, Zoho, or Basecamp.
