Nestle is seeking a Senior Manager of Environmental Sustainability in St. Louis, MO. This role involves leading sustainability programs, assessing environmental impacts, and ensuring compliance with corporate sustainability initiatives. Key responsibilities include supporting facilities with data reporting, developing onboarding programs, and collaborating with engineering consultants. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience. Travel is required, and the salary range is $132,000 to $178,000.

POSITION SUMMARY:
A Purina core value is the care for the environment through responsible sustainability programs and initiatives. The Senior Manager of Environmental Sustainability plays a crucial role in leading and driving environmental sustainability programs and initiatives at Purina. This position is responsible for planning, supporting, and reporting on activities that align with our Zone/Corporate sustainability goals and targets. The main focus will be on reducing the environmental impacts associated with our facility operations, including air, water, wastewater, solid waste, CO2 emissions, and energy conservation. Additionally, the Senior Manager will collaborate with facilities to identify sustainability program needs and provide data to support improvement efforts. This role also involves advising and ensuring compliance with our corporation's sustainability initiatives, including the design of environmental monitoring and measurement standards. Travel will be required for this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate engineering functions of "Reduce" sustainability programs.
• Assess factory capital projects to determine environmental/sustainability needs and provide necessary support during the conceptual design phase.
• Assist facilities with data accuracy and reporting, including emission inventories, waste prevention, energy efficiency, water usage, and discharge monitoring reports.
• Develop sustainability onboarding programs, strategies, and standards for the company and individual operating facilities, staying updated on mandatory targets and company directives.
• Coordinate activities of environmental/sustainability engineering consultants, reviewing actions required at facilities and providing necessary support.
• Drive corporate sustainability initiatives in manufacturing and effectively communicate direction and results to executive leadership through reporting tools and data systems.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental, Civil, or equivalent
• 8+ years' experience in Engineering/Environmental Sustainability, preferably in a manufacturing consulting environment, with a focus on reducing utility compliance or related discipline
The approximate pay range for this position is $132,000 to $178,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
