Job Description
Hawaii Gas is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst for their Clean Energy group in Honolulu, HI. The role involves financial modeling, data analysis, and collaboration with operations leaders to manage fuel supply and gas scenarios. Responsibilities include maintaining spreadsheets, conducting economic evaluations, and supporting greenhouse gas analyses. Candidates should have a relevant degree or experience and strong analytical skills. This position is full-time and located on-site.
As a Sr. Financial Analyst for Hawaii Gas' Clean Energy group, you will be responsible for financial and economic modelling, analysis, and general support.
Fuel Supply
• Maintain the company-wide fuel supply management spreadsheet, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with operations leaders to identify and build supply requirements and constraints into the model.
• Provide regular reports and feedback to key stakeholders.
Gas Supply Scenarios
• Update and maintain the gas supply scenarios spreadsheet.
• Work with operations leaders and the head of the Clean Energy team to identify and build supply options and constraints into the model.
• Provide feedback and conduct scenario analyses for key stakeholders.
Economic Evaluations
• Maintain economic evaluation models for existing projects.
• Prepare and screen economic models for new projects and provide data to external providers.
• Conduct scenario analyses as directed.
Green House Gas/Ad Hoc Analysis/Other
• Assist with data collection for greenhouse gas analyses.
• Support special projects and other ad hoc analyses as needed.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance or 4+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with creating and running macros, gathering data from diverse sources.
