Duties, Responsibilities & Other
• Design and prepare deliverables for site/civil development projects simultaneously, ensuring successful completion within defined timelines and budgets.
• Utilize strong organizational and scheduling skills to effectively track project progress and deliverables, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
• Communicate and collaborate with solar clients, team members, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for solar and EV development projects throughout the US.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information and ensure project compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and clearances for project execution.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in engineering techniques and technologies.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future collaboration.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong proficiency in Civil 3D AutoCAD software.
• Experience in designing stormwater management and erosion and sediment control.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in site civil engineering, preferably with solar projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex engineering concepts to diverse audiences.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing engineering plans, reports, and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with local regulations, permitting processes, and design standards in Maryland and Washington, DC.
• Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and methods.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; graduate work or Master's degree preferred.
• 6 - 10 years of professional experience; PE required.
