Sourcing Specialist
I am currently working with a global leader in the chemical manufacturing industry currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to join their procurement team here in Australia.

They are a market leader the gas manufacturing space with a strong presence across Australia and abroad with a great reputation for delivering quality services across the board with a focus on customer satisfaction and environmental sustainability.

The role will be pivotal in enhancing supply chain efficiency for their operations in Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on transportation, logistics and engineering services. The role would suit someone eager to grow in the sourcing and procurement industry with aspirations for management in the near future.

The position will involve collaborating with stakeholders across the business, leading strategic sourcing initiatives, as well as negotiation.

Responsibilities
• Partnering with internal stakeholders to determine needs and develop sourcing strategies with a focus on transportation, logistics and engineering services.
• Conducting market research along with supplier evaluation and performance management determine which suppliers will best delivery on business expectations and requirements.
• Manage the entire sourcing process from partnering with businesses, sourcing processes, supplier engagement, negations and finalising of contracts to ensure they align with business plans and strategies.
• Leading contracting negotiating from drafting contracts, as well as monitoring supplier performance and compliance throughout the process.
• Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally including higher level management staff.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, supply chain management or engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in procurement or sourcing.
• Experience in managing the entire sourcing/procurement process end to end.
• High level of proficiency in strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract management.
• Exposure to the chemical, mining or dangerous good industries preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
• Strong technical skills and experience using relevant software, Microsoft office and Oracle.
