Job Description / Responsibility

We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Sourcing Engineer (Mechatronics) to join our growing electric vehicle startup. The ideal candidate will have strong sourcing knowledge, engineering expertise, and hands-on experience in managing components, vendors, and production inputs relevant to EV development. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in shaping Bangladesh’s green transportation future.

Job Responsibilities:
• Source and procure components for electric vehicle production: motors, batteries, controllers, chassis, sensors, etc.
• Identify, assess, and negotiate with local and international vendors.
• Ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of critical components.
• Collaborate with R&D, design, and production teams to match specifications with suppliers.
• Maintain and update vendor database and technical documentation.
• Perform technical evaluation and support product development through prototyping and supplier development.
• Monitor market trends for EV parts and suggest innovations or sourcing improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Authority or Management Authority aligned with organizational needs.

Educational Requirements
• Bachelor of Science (BSc)
• B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering / Relevant from any Public University (e.g., BUET, RUET, CUET, KUET, DUET, IUT, MIST).
• Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain / Industrial Production / Automotive Technology will be considered a plus.
• Skills Required: AutoCAD, Manufacturing, Supplier Management, Vendor Development, Solidworks, Sourcing and Procurement, SOP Development, BOM, Technical Drawing

Experience Requirements
• At least 2 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
• Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry),Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances,Group of Companies,Automobile

Additional Requirements
• Hands-on experience in sourcing, vendor development, or procurement—preferably in the automotive, EV, or manufacturing sector.
• Experience working with technical drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing SOPs.
• Strong understanding of EV components and manufacturing technologies.
• Familiarity with engineering tools: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong technical documentation and vendor management abilities.
• Adaptability in fast-paced startup environments.
