Job Description

W3Global is seeking a Solid Waste Manager in Winnipeg, MB. Responsibilities include evaluating waste data, developing recycling programs, training staff on sustainability, and monitoring program outcomes. Candidates should have strong English skills, interpersonal abilities, and at least 5 years of waste management experience. A bachelor's degree is required, along with a willingness to relocate to Arlington, VA. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, interpret, and present data collected from waste audits.
• Research and develop tailored recycling programs for various industries.
• Execute these programs onsite, working directly with staff and customer representatives.
• Develop and deliver training sessions to educate and raise awareness about sustainability practices.
• Monitor and report the outcomes of newly implemented programs.
• Exhibit professionalism, perseverance, and respectful communication.
• Operate independently in the field while maintaining regular updates with managers and clients.
• Compile monthly reports and conduct follow-up waste audits.
• Oversee onsite personnel and manage equipment effectively.
• Coordinate services provided by external vendors.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Position Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in diverse, multicultural settings.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing initiatives with diplomacy and determination.
• Self-driven, goal-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
• At least 3 years of experience in customer service or client-facing roles.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in waste management, recycling, or food composting.
• Must be eligible to pass background checks for facility access, as necessary.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (Required).
• 4+ years of solid waste management experience (Required).
• Confidential security clearance (Preferred).
• Day shift availability (Preferred).
• Must be able to commute to Arlington, VA (Required).
• Willingness to relocate to Arlington, VA before employment begins (Required).
