Position Specific Description

The Utility Technician role will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance of Next Era Energy's photovoltaic (PV) solar systems located west of Albany. As a member of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, the technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal maintenance of our vegetation as well as other duties as assigned.

This position can be based out of Amsterdam, Sharon Springs or West of Albany.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Safely operate equipment including but not limited to tractors, mowers & weed-whackers.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
• Adhere to environmental regulations and procedures during maintenance activities and waste management.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders regarding work progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Washing of Mirror Panels with mirror washing equipment.
• Washing of Heat collecting elements with washing equipment.
• Perform minor repairs on washing equipment as needed.
• Perform site clean-up when necessary.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

The estimated base pay for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
