You must be able to commute daily to the Calhoun County Solar site. Some travel to Nebraska to support our Platteview project (Yutan, NE) might be required.
## Principal Duties and Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for assigned O&M activities associated with the solar PV sites and substations at utility-scale Solar Energy Plants. Your work will include performing corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which you are qualified to safely and efficiently perform. Equipment you'll work with includes Sun. Grow 3150, Sun. Grow 3600, Nextracker XTR systems, and high, medium, and low voltage switching equipment. You'll prepare and implement switching and clearance orders, perform other technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power facility, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements. You may perform work independently and/or in work crews.
## What We're Looking For
### Experience Requirements
You should have three (3) or more years of experience as a PV O&M solar technician, OR five (5) or more years of experience in a power plant and one (1) or more years of experience in PV Solar O&M or construction. You'll need demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals (single craft journeyman skills) such as electrical measurements, control circuits, and solid-state theory application, plus basic knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and associated control devices installed in power facilities.
### Skills and Competencies
Shown experience with a multitude of electrical and construction projects and knowledge of basic IT equipment are essential. You'll demonstrate a thorough understanding of general workplace safety and the ability to follow safety standards while helping the company improve upon the standards in place. You must be able to excel in a multi-functional and geographically diverse organization while maintaining integrity and professionalism. Excellent verbal and written social skills with leaders and colleagues, combined with high energy, developed interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic are critical.
You should be meticulous with the ability to synthesize complex analysis, approach new challenges with creativity, and summarize information in a manner that supports key decision makers. We value demonstrated skill in research, highly technical equipment, and engineering. Excellent hands-on abilities with strong technical skills are essential, along with the ability to operate a personal computer with technical proficiency of standard business software.
You must be able to read, write, and understand English, demonstrate knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations, and show proactivity for solving problems and making valuable contributions to the company. Maintain a current level of professional knowledge by focusing on personal growth and development through actively seeking feedback and responding with action. The ability to establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with all individuals is vital. Communicate openly and honestly without engaging in gossip, model professional behaviors of conduct and decorum, and be a strong teammate willing to assist others when appropriate.
